Immersion Cooling Sourcing Manager

  • JOB SUMMARY


    GSM for Immersion Cooling Subsystems is responsible for developing and implementing effective supplier sourcing strategies, negotiating best-in-market costs, and ensuring continuity of supply with various suppliers across multiple commodities. This role will be pivotal in building and sustaining a best-in-class Immersion Cooling Program by establishing meaningful partnerships across the various engineering communities, other stakeholder teams, and suppliers to ensure flawless execution and delivery.

    The right candidate must have demonstrated experience identifying and managing relationships with suppliers across multiple commodity areas. Relevant immersion cooling subsystems include various sensors, electronic controls, filtration, safety, and power delivery.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Owns supplier relationships and delivers strategic impact through Supplier Strategy Development.
    • Creates the supplier strategy in full alignment with sourcing strategies to define supplier related spend, targets, negotiations, DFX projects and spend consolidation, etc.
    • Understands supplier capabilities based on benchmarking against relevant competitors/markets and/or meaningful should-cost analytics.
    • Build the supplier performance scorecard-based and cross-functional stakeholder feedback/calibration.
    • Identifies future business opportunities and NPI projects (~24 – 36 months) together with TPM and R&D teams.
    • Program management execution to ensure effective stakeholder communication and involvement.
    • Relentlessly drives impact to the bottom and top line through Supplier Performance Development and negotiation.
    • Orchestrates supplier related activities and communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure one consistent supplier approach.
    • Facilitates and drives early involvement (incl. DfX) and related decision making.
    • Implements defined negotiation roadmap, target setting, and business reviews.
    • Encourages suppliers to provide innovation opportunities.
    • Manage supplier contracting and risk mitigation according to defined standards & procedures.
    • Ensure full compliance with sustainability and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct supplier risk assessments and define, track, and manage corresponding mitigation and contingency plans in alignment with stakeholders.
      Specific responsibilities include the following:
    • Monitor the ecosystem of pump, sensors, electronic controls, filtration, safety, and power delivery suppliers and markets to understand technological advancements and regulatory changes along with their relevance for the Company.
    • Build and nurture relationships with suppliers to provide subsystem components in support of immersion cooling for generation 1 of our technology as well as strategic alignment to future roadmaps.
    • Secure production capacity with selected suppliers, including supporting scale-up of capacity as required.
    • Engage Engineering, Quality, and Immersion Cooling leadership to identify and develop technically capable and cost effective alternative suppliers.
    • Serve as the connective tissue between our in-house engineering team and the supplier ecosystem.
    • Lead the negotiation of complex master supply contracts with selected suppliers.
    • Develop and implement KPI reporting structures, cadence, and data linkages to ensure best in class, cost, quality, and delivery.
  • ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


    • BS degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
    • 15+ years of sourcing/procurement experience.
    • Experience sourcing multiple commodities.
    • Ability to create breakthrough strategies and programs to impact the bottom and top-line.
    • Ability to drive and orchestrate supplier related decision making processes with the involvement of Senior Executive Management from both parties.
    • At ease with engaging senior leadership within the supply base.
    • Negotiation skills, including start-to-finish master supply contracts.
    • Supplier Strategy Development, Supplier Sustainability Management, Supplier Risk Management experience.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


    • Experience sourcing sensors, electronic controls, filtration, safety, and power delivery commodities.
    • Technical background including BS in Engineering.
    • Advanced degree in Business or Supply Chain.
    • APICS or ISM Certification.
    • Diverse experience across multiple roles within electronics manufacturing at large-scale operations.
    • Experience sourcing in support of large electronics manufacturing or data center hardware deployments.
