M&A Integration Leader

  • JOB SUMMARY


    The M&A Integration Leader plays a pivotal role in coordinating the integration process following mergers and acquisitions within our organization. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, coordinating activities, and ensuring successful integration execution while aligning with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management knowledge, analytical skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of supporting complex integration initiatives.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


    Integration Planning

    • Conduct assessments of acquired entities to identify integration risks, opportunities, and synergy potential.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define integration priorities, milestones, and success metrics.
    • Work with workstream leaders to develop integration plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.

     

    Project Execution

    • Support cross-functional integration teams, providing guidance and direction throughout the integration lifecycle.
    • Drive execution of integration plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Monitor progress, identify roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to keep integration initiatives on track.

     

    Stakeholder Management

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders involved in the integration process.
    • Communicate integration progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management and key stakeholders.
    • Foster collaborative relationships with functional leaders, business unit heads, and integration counterparts.

     

    Change Management

    • Implement change management strategies to minimize disruption / maximize engagement during the integration.
    • Promote cultural alignment between merging entities, fostering a unified organizational culture.
    • Identify and address cultural differences and sensitivities that may impact integration outcomes.

     

    Risk Management and Issue Resolution

    • Identify integration risks and dependencies; develop mitigation plans and contingency strategies as needed.
    • Facilitate resolution of integration-related conflicts and challenges.
  • ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.
    • Proven experience (7+ years) in project management.
    • Operations experience (3+ years) in an engineered product manufacturing or supply chain environment.
    • Understanding of M&A processes, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger integration.
    • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in complex and ambiguous situations.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
    • Change management certification and/or project management certification is a plus.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 35% of the time.
