Procurement Operations Lead

  • JOB SUMMARY


    As the Procurement Operations Lead you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of enterprise Procurement source to pay processes, including workflows around Supplier Lifecycle Management and P2P (Procure to Pay) for the enterprise with initial focus on the manufacturing business (Pennex).

    Working with procurement leadership, this role will create a long-term sustainable approach to integrate procurement best practices within manufacturing systems and processes.

    This role is critical in identifying and implementing initiatives that will help improve the accuracy and automation of our our processes and systems, focusing on reducing ‘hands on the keyboard’ work and other non-value added activities within our P2P processes.

  • KEY OBJECTIVES


    • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide procurement systems including e-sourcing, purchase orders, invoicing, and procure-to-pay processes across both Direct and Indirect Materials and Services.
    • Support new implementations of enterprise ERP systems across the manufacturing footprint to align with procurement process best practices.
    • Support the development of new Supplier Lifecycle Management program (process and system) in accordance with industry best practices.
    • Manage procurement / supplier data system requirements (integration or bifurcation) with strategic corporate acquisitions and divestitures.
    • Implement change management strategies associated with new procurement operations policies and procedures, ensuring stakeholders are trained and adjusted to the new process.
    • Assist in the development and monitoring of P2P process key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement operations processes to support our category buying strategies.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, engineering, and quality assurance teams, to understand their procurement needs within designated categories and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
    • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure procurement activities within designated categories adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations, promoting a culture of transparency and integrity.
    • Process and Policy Enhancement: Seek to drive effective procurement processes supported by enterprise policies and procedures.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management within designated categories, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing them.
  • ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years’ experience within a support role for procurement processes and systems or similar tenure working with ERP, maintenance, and/or quality systems for manufacturing closely connected to purchasing processes.
    • Experience implementing and/or working with ERP systems – MS Dynamics preferred, or similar (Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, etc…).
    • Sourcing / procurement process (P2P) experience for indirects (Capex, MRO, Facility Services) in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with supplier catalogs, punchouts, and other e-Procurement methods for a manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects within designated categories simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and / or procurement P2P processes.
    • Adaptability to dynamic business environments and changing market conditions.
    • A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
